Fellowship-Day 87

WEEK 12 | DAY 87

Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Be sure and read ALL of Ephesians 4 before reading more here!

The WHOLE chapter is about “one another.” We could soak here for at least a week! But look at how Paul sums up all of these thoughts… be kind, compassionate, forgiving. Obviously, chapter 4 comes well after chapters 1-3! Can you see how the ability to have community and relationship with others is ONLY founded on the work of Christ first?
  • Think about times when you are “ugly” or “unkind” to others; what is your “state of mind & heart” when you are unkind?
  • Do a word study on “compassionate” from Ephesians 4:32 (www.biblehub.com) and report your finding below.
  • What does Paul charge us to consider when we find ourselves in an ugly, dull, cold-hearted and unforgiving state toward other believers?

MEMORY VERSES

PRIMARY VERSE: But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:13
SECONDARY VERSE: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35
