Missions

Our mission is to reach out beyond the walls of our local congregation in order to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making disciples, and relating to the physical and spiritual needs of people.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

matthew 28:16-20

"Making disciples" and "relating to people" involves using any available means to show and share the love of Jesus Christ. Evangelizing, encouraging, discipling, mentoring, church planting, church building, teaching, health clinics, disaster support, and aiding in relief and development are all ways to introduce God's love to His people.
We have many opportunities for you to become involved locally and worldwide through our missions program at Pinedale. One way is through Faith Promise.

What is Faith Promise?

Faith Promise is Pinedale’s way to fund local and world-wide missionary outreaches. It is a commitment between you and God as well as a way for you to give financial support to the Missions Program.

Each year, we hold a Faith Promise Rally where we ask for pledges to be made to the Missions Fund for the upcoming year. The Missions Committee uses the pledge total on that day to decide on the Missions budget for the upcoming year.

DOLLAR CLUB
The Dollar Club was established on the principle that “when every individual does a little, then collectively we can do a lot.”

On the 2nd Sunday of every month, we ask everyone to put $1 dollar bills into the offering bag in addition to their regular offering. All of the the single $1 bills are then collected and used to help people in need within our church family – or in the community – in the name of Jesus Christ. Only $1 dollar bills are used for the Dollar Club. All other denominations are deposited into the general fund. This is a great way to reach out in the name of Jesus through our Pinedale family.
SHORT TERM MISSIONS
Short Term Missions ministry reaches out beyond the walls of our local congregation in order to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making disciples, and relating to the physical and spiritual needs of people.

“Making disciples” and “relating to people” involves using any available means to show and share the love of Jesus Christ. Evangelizing, encouraging, discipling, mentoring, church planting, church building, teaching, health clinics, disaster support, and aiding in relief and development are all ways to introduce God's love to His people.

We are striving to accomplish these objectives through the support and involvement with Pinedale's current missionaries and other ministry partners both here in the U.S. and around the world.

We also aim to stretch and strengthen people—both here at Pinedale and our missionaries in the field—by providing short-term ministry opportunities, cross-cultural experiences, missions awareness and education.
LEAVE IT BETTER
The Mission of serving others is put best by Jesus: “‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:35-36, 40

No one will care how much we know until they know how much we care. Many question themselves as to what their purpose is. Our basic purpose is others. We need YOU anytime, anywhere. Come and explore how you can show the world WHOSE you are.

Pinedale volunteers continually serve in the community through Leave It Better projects. Visit the Serve page to find out what ways were are currently serving our neighbors.

FOOTBRIDGE
Connecting medical professionals. Accessing education.

Witnessing firsthand the consequences of inadequate medical care and the lack of educational opportunities around the globe has driven us to take action in the name of Jesus. This drive led to the creation of Footbridge, and we hope to introduce you to both the ministries of Footbridge and the opportunities you have to partner with us to make a difference.

A footbridge connects two points over an obstacle.

Our mission is to impact lives with the love of Jesus by working through the indigenous church to:
Connect medical professionals from all fields of the healthcare world (dental, medical, eye, specialty, etc.) and education professionals to mission trips among the world's poor, to help meet their physical and spiritual needs, and
Provide access to educational opportunities to nationals that they might carry on the expansion of Christ's work in their community.
