Student Ministry

PSM exists to disciple the next generation to be Centered in Christ, Rooted in Grace, Going with Hope.

We are committed to gospel teaching, relational community, and acts of service that guide students towards a life of worshipful dependence on Christ.

Sunday Mornings

What to Expect

We meet every Sunday Morning at 9:15 AM for a time of intentional fun, exegetical and applicable bible teaching, and we always bring the donuts!

High School meets in ROOM 207 and Middle School meets in ROOM 215. Our student ministry staff rotates between Middle School and High School so they get to hear both voices!

After Sunday School, we all go to the Main Worship Center and participate in Second Service from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM.

Wednesday Nights

Students meet from 7:00-8:00 PM. Where they meet depends on the night, but our 5 week structure typically goes as follows: Intro Night, Small Group Night, Small Group Night, Worship Night, Activity or Gathering Night. Descriptions are below!

Students are always welcome and encouraged to bring a friend! Additionally, if your student arrives early, we are usually playing games in the Old Worship Center most Wednesday Nights!

Intro Nights

Cereal, Community, and Gospel teaching. Everyone, (6th-12th) joins in the Old Worship Center and sits with their small group for light discussion, cereal eating, and some fun games! Then we all come together for a brief devotion.

Small Group Nights

In depth conversations with your small group (based on grade and gender) about the Bible, the series we are going through, and your life! This is central to everything we do, because this is where real discipleship takes place: in doing life with other believers. This happens in different classrooms for each small group. Our Small Group Leaders, who have gone through regularly updated background checks and training from our staff, start with a group in 6th grade and stay with them till they graduate! This allows deep connections and trust to be built, along with consistency and structure during their middle and high school years!

Worship Nights

Songs of praise and worship, Gospel teaching, and prayer and response. All students, (6th-12th) meet in the Old Worship Center.

Activity Nights

The time to make memories with your friends! These are nights that happen within your small group. Each group intentionally plans something fun that they will do within their small group room, somewhere on the church campus, or somewhere off campus if they are in grades 9-12 and have parent/guardian approval!

7:00 PM

6th-8th Grades: On Campus
9th-12th Grades: On or Off Campus

Gathering Nights

The time to make memories as a Youth Group! These are Activity Nights but bigger and all together! And they are designed to create fun and friendship for the whole group! So that we can learn to have fun together in ways that honor God and grow us closer to one another. All students meet together in the Old Worship Center unless another location is specified.

Meet our Ministers

andrew doyle

Student Minister
I grew up in Carl Junction, Missouri before packing up and moving out here to North Carolina at the beginning of 2023. I started here at Pinedale after graduating from Ozark Christian College with a Bachelor Degree in Student Ministry. I married my high school sweetheart Gloria in November 2021 and she is the greatest asset in my ministry. She is the biggest supporter of me and all the students we are lucky to invest in. We had our first child, Judah in February 2024! I enjoy watching soccer, pretending I can still keep up with high schoolers in basketball, hiking, drinking energy drinks, eating Raising Canes Chicken Fingers, and investing in the next generation to help make them look more like Jesus. I’m a firm believer that I have the best job in the world!

connor strunk

Student Minister
Connor grew up in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry with a focus on Student Ministry. He met his wife, Jessica, while they were in school together and they were married in October of 2023. They love to cook, crochet, go to coffee shops and much more as they are easily entertained.

Here are some helpful resources that we use for a variety of reasons in our ministry.

STUDENTS & PARENTS

This is the bible we typically recommend to parents and students although they are welcome to peruse Crossway for something else. We typically stick to ESV or NIV translations.
