The heroes of Scripture were were real people – not some made-up, comic-book superheroes. They struggled with temptation and faith and failure just like we do. But as the darkness around them grew, they allowed God to shine light through them. 

Elijah is that kind of hero - a country-boy from the sticks who burst on the scene during one of the darkest times in Israel’s history. God used Him in a mighty way. His story will inspire and instruct us as we attempt to do the same.
