MISSIONS
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20
Our mission is to reach out beyond the walls of our local congregation in order to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making disciples, and relating to the physical and spiritual needs of people.
"Making disciples" and "relating to people" involves using any available means to show and share the love of Jesus Christ. Evangelizing, encouraging, discipling, mentoring, church planting, church building, teaching, health clinics, disaster support, and aiding in relief and development are all ways to introduce God's love to His people.
We have many opportunities for you to become involved locally and worldwide through our missions program at Pinedale.
THE DOLLAR CLUB was established on the principle that “when every individual does a little, then collectively we can do a lot”. On the 2nd Sunday of every month, we ask everyone to put $1 dollar bills into the offering bag in addition to their regular offering. All of the the single $1 bills are then collected and used to help people in need within our church family – or in the community – in the name of Jesus Christ. Only $1 dollar bills are used for the Dollar Club. All other denominations are deposited into the general fund. This is a great way to reach out in the name of Jesus through our Pinedale family.
SHORT TERM MISSION ministry reaches out beyond the walls of our local congregation in order to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making disciples, and relating to the physical and spiritual needs of people.
“Making disciples” and “relating to people” involves using any available means to show and share the love of Jesus Christ. Evangelizing, encouraging, discipling, mentoring, church planting, church building, teaching, health clinics, disaster support, and aiding in relief and development are all ways to introduce God's love to His people.
We are striving to accomplish these objectives through the support and involvement with Pinedale's current missionaries and other ministry partners both here in the U.S. and around the world.
We also aim to stretch and strengthen people—both here at Pinedale and our missionaries in the field—by providing short-term ministry opportunities, cross-cultural experiences, missions awareness and education.
Detailed information sheets for these trips are available in the church office.
THE PINEDALE QUILTERS are on a mission through Threads of Faith. They were established in January 2010 by Claire Witten. She organized classes to build an army of quilters for God. Through this ministry, Claire has been able to share her God-given talent for quilting as well as serve the Lord and others.
The Pinedale Quilters use their talents to serve God through missions by making quilts for Pinedale’s missionaries. They also work to improve their skills with other quilting projects.
The group is open to all levels of quilting; even those who have never sewn before. Meetings are held twice monthly in the Fellowship Hall from 6:30-9:00pm. On the second Monday of every month, the concentration is on special projects and personal sewing tasks. The fourth Monday of each month focuses on missions projects.
In addition to the regular monthly meetings, Saturday classes are occasionally offered. The group also enjoy Quilting Retreats where they gather for the weekend and do nothing but sew… sew… sew! Join the Pinedale Quilters for a great time of fun, prayer and fellowship!

LEAVE IT BETTER! The Mission of serving others is put best by Jesus: “‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:35-36, 40
No one will care how much we know until they know how much we care. Many question themselves as to what their purpose is. Our basic purpose is others. We need YOU anytime, anywhere. Come and explore how you can show the world WHOSE you are.
Pinedale volunteers continually serve in the community through Leave It Better projects. Visit the Leave It Better page to find out what ways were are currently serving our neighbors.
Volunteers are the glue that holds the church together. There are numerous opportunities to serve here whenever you are available. If you are interested in becoming involved at Pinedale, check out our volunteer tool! (Keep link to volunteer tool)
